There are no additional fees related to the rate Active Gaming Media charges for translation/localization. In addition, the rate includes not just the translation, but also a proofreading check by a native speaker. With this in mind, it is difficult to lower the rate any further.
However, it is possible to receive discounts for high-volume projects or in the event that a project requires translation into multiple languages. For example, rather than the usual process of translating from Japanese into English, French, or German all at the same time, the rate can be lowered by first translating from Japanese to English, then from English into other languages. (There are disadvantages to this method, such as requiring more time to complete the translations.)

1. Our budget doesn’t allow for several languages, but if we were to localize into 1 or 2 languages, which ones are best?
A. One language would be English. For the second language, it would depend on the platform and genre of the game. Recently, Chinese has been a popular choice for a second language. Please consult with us for more specified recommendations.
2. What markets would you recommend for overseas expansion?
A. It depends on the game format and genre, but the Southeast Asian market is a hot choice right now. Please contact us for further consultation.
3. What kind of multilingual customer support services do you provide?
A. In addition to answering customer support inquiries by native-level speakers of that language, we can also consult with the operating company in your preferred language of choice. Multilingual support also opens up opportunities to directly address any reports of linguistic errors and FAQ/template/chatbot proposals, which can contribute to improved content.
4. What is community management?
A. It used to be that community management mainly involved moderating and posting to social media accounts. Now, though, the focus is more on user engagement, and hyping up game content and events along with the users. This also allows for better gathering of information on minor issues or detailed nuances in the translations, as well as finding differences between what the users and the developers want.

A. If it’s part of a series, it aids in ensuring the names of characters, places, and items, etc. are consistent in addition to helping to prevent any spelling or spacing errors. Translation support tools not only increase efficiency, but also help improve the accuracy of a translation.
